The Benefits of Wisdom
Posted July 23, 2020

Did you know that God showed man how to prosper in this life before there were kings or kingdoms, nations or leaders, or politics or parties?

Check out this passage in Proverbs 8;

“In the beginning I was there, for God possessed me even before he created the universe. From eternity past I was set in place, before the world began.” (vs. 22-23, TPT)

This means that if you want to overcome the obstacles and man-made systems of the world, you must go back to the beginning, to God’s wisdom, and seek guidance for how to live.

Trying to solve today’s problems with man’s “wisdom,” or the man-made ideologies that all too often shape our worldview, will never produce the right solutions.

God’s wisdom is such that it supersedes all of man’s wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. And you can tell whenever anyone is operating in God’s wisdom, because people will start “beating the system.”

  • You’ll be promoted when you weren’t sure if someone was ever going to give you a chance.

  • You’ll make more money more easily, and what you have will go further.

  • You’ll heal faster when you’re sick, or stop getting sick altogether.

  • You’ll grow stronger and stronger in your knowledge of God and revelation of the Gospel, instead of becoming more cynical, or filled with doubt, or having more questions than answers.

  • You’ll start speaking well of yourself, your life, your very challenging loved ones, your circumstances, and even your enemies as love overflows from your spirit to your mind and actions.

  • You’ll become more focused on the path God has laid out for you, become more in tune with your life’s mission, and develop more courage to walk out your calling.

  • You won’t be moved by the shifting waves of culture, politics, or world crises.

  • You’ll start guarding yourself from negative thoughts, or philosophies which are contrary to the word of God.

  • You’ll commune with God in your heart effortlessly while you’re awake and as you sleep, as his unforced rhythms of grace continuously pulsate from the spiritual dimension into your heart.

Essentially, anyone operating in the wisdom of God will eventually show the fruit of what walking in God’s wisdom produces. This is the quality of peace that the world knows nothing of, but speaks volumes as it stands in such stark contrast to the world.

The Bible teaches that God took great delight in “…baffling the wisdom of the world by using the simplicity of preaching the story of the cross” (1 Corinthians 1:21, TPT).

That means that the only perfect “man-made” system every created, was the one Jesus preached, demonstrated, and died to establish.

And for those who recognize it, and receive it, and “…who are on their way to salvation,…” the Bible teaches that wisdom then becomes “…the mighty power of God released within us” (1 Corinthians 1:18, TPT).
